What’s the Problem?

July 28, 2017 – According to the lawsuit, O’Toole’s Uber driver caused the accident because he got lost and stopped his car in the middle of the highway to check his app. The pair was rear-ended by another vehicle at a high speed, fracturing O’Toole’s neck and causing other serious injuries, the complaint states.

O’Toole claims his life and career were threatened by the accident, which couldn’t have come at a worse time. His “American Kid” album had just been released, and he was scheduled to open for Willie Nelson and the Josh Abbott Band. The album was 2 years in the making for O’Toole, according to Wide Open Country.

The incident is the latest in a series of car accidents involving Uber drivers that caused severe injuries. Just last week, a 48-year-old man was critically injured in a collision between an Uber and a moped in New Haven, Connecticut. The woman operating the vehicle, a 44-year-old Uber driver from Hamden, Connecticut, was on duty when the crash occurred.
