What’s the problem?

August 15, 2018 – New York City health department officials said the Legionnaires outbreak started in a cooling tower at the Sugar Hill Project on Saint Nicholas Avenue, according to CBS New York. Officials said Legionella bacteria from the cooling tower matched strains from patients.

A total of at least 27 people were sickened in Washington Heights and Hamilton Heights, including one person who died. The cooling tower has since been disinfected, officials said.
