Latest Updates
On July 9, 2026, iDecoz Inc. dba Flaunt of Brooklyn, New York announced a voluntary recall of approximately 1,400 Flaunt MagSafe Battery Charger power banks in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1]. The chargers were manufactured in China and imported by iDecoz Inc. dba Flaunt and Case-Mate of Atlanta, Georgia.
What Product Is Affected?
The recall covers the Flaunt MagSafe Battery Charger power bank, Model E33A. The charger measures 3 inches by 2 inches by 0.25 inches, weighs approximately 3.2 ounces, and features “FLAUNT” engraved on the front right side and a small circular button in the bottom center of the front. The back label is marked “FLAUNT” and “Model: E33A.”
The recalled chargers were sold in melon, black, lavender, and white. They were sold exclusively online at flauntcases.com from May 2024 through April 2025 for approximately $65.
What Is the Hazard?
The lithium-ion battery inside the recalled Flaunt MagSafe power bank can overheat and ignite, posing a serious risk of injury or death from fire and burn hazards. Because these chargers are compact and designed to be carried or used directly against a device — and often charged overnight or left unattended — a battery fire can cause significant harm before it is detected.
Incidents and Injuries
Flaunt has received five reports of the recalled power banks overheating and catching fire. Those incidents resulted in one burn injury to a consumer’s hand, one burn injury to a consumer’s arm, and four reports of minor property damage.
What Should Consumers Do?
Consumers who own the recalled Flaunt MagSafe Battery Charger should stop using it immediately. To receive a full refund of the $65 purchase price as a check, or an $80 store credit at flauntcases.com, consumers should register at www.flauntcases.com/pages/recall and submit two photographs: one showing the front of the power bank with the word “Recalled,” the consumer’s initials, and the registration date written in permanent marker, and one showing the model number E33A on the back of the unit.
After registering, consumers will receive disposal instructions by email. The recalled device contains a lithium-ion battery that must not be placed in regular trash, curbside recycling bins, or standard battery drop-off boxes at retail stores — consumers should contact their municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center ahead of time to confirm it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. For questions, consumers may contact Flaunt by email at recall@flauntcases.com or online at www.flauntcases.com/pages/recall.
Can I File a Lawsuit?
Consumers who purchased the recalled Flaunt MagSafe Battery Charger — particularly those who suffered burn injuries or property damage when the battery overheated or caught fire — may have significant legal options. A class action lawsuit could allow affected consumers to seek compensation for medical expenses, property damage, pain and suffering, lost wages, and other related losses.
