Latest Updates
On August 13, 2026, Taleco Gear of La Verne, California announced a voluntary recall of its baby swings, baby jumpers, and 2-in-1 baby jumper and swing products in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1]. Approximately 41,100 units are affected in the United States, with an additional 150 units sold in Canada. The products were manufactured in China and imported by Taleco Gear.
What Products Are Affected?
The recall covers four G Taleco Gear products sold in black, white, gray, pink, blue, and green, with the model number located on the fabric wash and care label sewn into the fabric seat cover:
- Baby Swing — Model swing-1
- Baby Jumper — Model jumper-01
- 2-in-1 Baby Jumper & Swing-A — Model jumper-01
- 2-in-1 Baby Jumper & Swing-B — Model jumper-01
The recalled products were sold on Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and TalecoGear.com from April 2021 through July 2026 for between $65 and $120.
The Two Hazards in These Products
The first hazard is structural: the baby swing and related products can become unstable during normal use, posing a fall and impact hazard to any infant seated in the unit. A falling or tipping baby swing can strike an infant against the floor or surrounding furniture before a caregiver has time to respond.
The second hazard is the one that makes this recall particularly urgent: the hanging restraint straps and seat openings on the recalled products can trap an infant’s head, neck, or body in a position that poses a strangulation risk. Unlike older children, young infants cannot lift their heads, shift their weight, or otherwise free themselves from an entrapment — making strangulation a foreseeable and rapidly escalating emergency in these products.
Incidents and Injuries
Taleco Gear has received at least 52 reports of fall, impact, and strangulation hazards across its recalled product lineup. At least 32 of those reports involved actual injuries, including head bumps and a bloody nose.
What Should Parents Do?
Parents and caregivers who own any recalled Taleco Gear baby swing, baby jumper, or 2-in-1 unit should stop using the product immediately — do not place an infant in the seat again under any circumstances until a full refund has been processed and the product destroyed. To receive the full refund, consumers should contact Taleco Gear for instructions on how to destroy the product and submit photographs of the destroyed parts.

Can I File a Lawsuit?
Parents whose infants were injured in a fall, impact, or strangulation incident involving a recalled Taleco Gear baby swing or related product may have significant legal options against Taleco Gear and the retailers that sold it. Contact an attorney promptly to have your case evaluated.
