On August 13, 2026, Taleco Gear of La Verne, California announced a voluntary recall of its baby jumpers, baby swings, and 2-in-1 baby jumper and swing products in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1]. The recall covers approximately 41,100 units in the United States and 150 units in Canada. The products were manufactured in China and imported by Taleco Gear.
What Products Are Affected?
The recall covers four G Taleco Gear products sold in black, white, gray, pink, blue, and green. The 2-in-1 models specifically included in the recall are:
- 2-in-1 Baby Jumper & Swing-A — Model jumper-01
- 2-in-1 Baby Jumper & Swing-B — Model jumper-01
- Baby Jumper — Model jumper-01
- Baby Swing — Model swing-1
The model number is printed on the fabric wash and care label sewn into the fabric seat cover of each product. The recalled products were sold on Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and TalecoGear.com from April 2021 through July 2026 for between $65 and $120.
Why the 2-in-1 Design Raises Additional Concerns
A 2-in-1 product that switches between jumper and swing modes requires parents to reconfigure the unit between uses — adjusting straps, repositioning components, and changing the seat orientation. Each reconfiguration is an opportunity for a strap to be improperly secured or a seat opening to be left in a position that increases entrapment risk.
The CPSC has identified the hanging restraint straps and seat openings on all Taleco Gear products as posing strangulation hazards — a risk that may be compounded in a multi-function product where the configuration changes between sessions. Young infants cannot reposition themselves or call for help if they become entrapped, making this hazard one that can escalate to a life-threatening emergency within minutes.
Incidents and Injuries
Taleco Gear has received at least 52 reports of fall, impact, and strangulation hazards across its recalled product lineup. At least 32 of those incidents resulted in injuries including head bumps and a bloody nose.
What Should Parents Do?
Parents who own either Taleco Gear 2-in-1 Baby Jumper & Swing model — or any other Taleco Gear baby jumper or swing — should stop using it immediately and remove it from their infant’s environment. Taleco Gear is offering a full refund to all affected consumers who follow the company’s destruction and photo submission process.
