What’s the Problem?
According to an FDA Recall Notice dated 8/9/20, this action affects 2-pound bags of Wegmans lemons (UPC: 7789015917), bulk lemons (UPC: 4033), and a variety of in-store produced seafood and restaurant foods items that contain fresh lemon.
The recalled produce was sold at Wegmans supermarkets in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Brooklyn and Harrison, New York.
Affected lemons and oranges were supplied to Wegmans by Freshouse Produce LLC of Salisbury, North Carolina, which issued a recall after tests identified the presence of listeria in one of its packing facilities.
Consumers who purchased any recalled lemons or oranges should return them to any Wegmans service desk for a full refund. If you are experiencing symptoms of food poisoning, you should call your doctor immediately.
