What’s the Problem?
August 10, 2018 – Vitamix says it has received at least 11 reports of lacerations with the recalled blenders, the severity of which wasn’t specified by the company.
More than 100,000 of the blenders were sold at Costco, Williams-Sonoma, and other major retailers across the U.S., as well as over the Internet, from April 2017 thru July 2018, for between about $24 and $500.
If you purchased one of the recalled Vitamix blenders, you should stop using it immediately, CPSC said, and contact Vitamix for a free repair kit. If the blade base has been marked on the bottom with a green or orange dot, this means the container has already been repaired.
