What’s the Problem?
The recalled Valencia oranges were sold in 4-pound bags with UPC 7789052363 at Wegmans stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Brooklyn and Harrison, New York.
Wegmans issued the recall after being informed by its supplier, Freshouse Produce LLC of Salisbury, North Carolina, that Listeria had been found in one of its packing facilities.
Consumers who purchased any recalled Valencia oranges should either discard them or return them to the point of purchase for a refund.
If you ate Wegmans oranges and are suffering from symptoms of listeria — headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, convulsions — you should dial 9-1-1 immediately for medical assistance.
This recall began on August 9, 2020.
