On September 10, 2026, International Trade Imports LLC dba The Ricky Joy Company of Cumming, Georgia announced a voluntary recall of approximately 2.3 million Ricky Joy Sour Crush Rolling Liquid Candy bottles in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1]. The candy bottles were manufactured in Colombia and imported by The Ricky Joy Company.
What Product Is Affected?
The recall covers Ricky Joy-branded Sour Crush Rolling Liquid Candy bottles — 1.85 fl. oz. plastic bottles filled with sour liquid candy dispensed through a rollerball top. The bottles were sold individually and in packs of three or 12, in four colors and flavors:
- Blue — Blue Raspberry
- Red — Strawberry
- Green — Green Apple
- Pink — Watermelon
Each bottle displays the Ricky Joy logo, “EXTREME SOUR,” “SOUR CRUSH,” and the flavor name on the front alongside an image of a green monster. The recalled bottles were sold at H-E-B, Forman Mill, and other candy stores nationwide and online at Walmart.com, CandyFunHouse.com, RickyJoy.com, and other online retailers from January 2023 through May 2026 for approximately $3 per bottle and between $13 and $32 per pack.
What Is the Hazard?
The rolling ball on top of the recalled candy bottle can detach during use, posing a serious risk of injury or death from choking. Because the product is marketed as a candy and the rollerball is a key part of its interactive eating experience, children may naturally place the top in their mouth — exactly the use pattern that makes a detaching ball hazardous.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled Sour Crush Rolling Liquid Candy bottles as of the September 10, 2026 recall date.
