What’s the problem?
January 19, 2018 – According to the lawsuit, Plaintiff Diane Stanesic underwent total knee arthroplasty with a defective Exactech Optetrak knee implant, and as a result subsequently needed revision surgery to remove the defective implant.
Stanesic is holding Exactech responsible for allegedly manufacturing an unreasonably dangerous and defectively designed product, and for breaching its duty by introducing the device into the marketplace.
The complaint was filed on Jan. 9 in the Western District of Pennsylvania. Plaintiff is seeking a jury trial and damages in excess of $75,000 to cover medical, incidental and hospital expenses, as well as any other compensation the court deems just.
The lawsuit is: U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania case number 2:18-cv-00046-CB.
