What’s the problem?
April 3, 2018 – The oil rig explosion occurred at about 4:00 pm in Wewoka near U.S. 270 and State Highway 56, just as a pumping unit was being installed, according to KFOR.
One man was flown by helicopter to a hospital in serious condition, while another was treated locally for minor injuries. Both are expected to make a full recovery.
The fire was still burning but safely under control Tuesday afternoon, Green said. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
