What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA recall affects Mazda CX-30 vehicles from model year 2020 that are equipped with all-wheel drive.
These cars were fitted with an evaporative vent hose for the fuel tank that may have come off the assembly line disconnected, which could allow fuel to leak from the charcoal canister vent at the rear of the vehicle.
A fuel leak near an ignition source may increase the risk of a fire, NHTSA said. This problem could also cause the engine to stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
If you purchased a Mazda CX-30 that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it and contact your dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair.
Mazda’s Recall Number for this vehicle is 4520F.
