On June 11, 2026, Shenzhen Qilanshiyeyouxiangongsi (Shenzhen Qilan Industrial Co., Ltd.), doing business as ChilanTech, announced a voluntary recall of LiKee Pull-String Teething Toys in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall was issued because the toy’s silicone strings are smaller and longer than permitted under the mandatory toy safety standard.

What Product Is Affected?

The recall covers the LiKee Pull-String Teething Toy, an off-white disc with a blue ball in the center and six multi-colored silicone tentacle-style pull strings running through the ball. The disc also includes three soft push buttons, with “LiKee” and “Baby Sensory Toy” printed on the front of the packaging and “Model No. LK-FDWJ” printed on the back.

The recalled toy was sold exclusively on Amazon.com from November 2024 through December 2025 for approximately $10. It was manufactured by Guangzhou Huanmao Business Service Co. Ltd. of China and imported by ChilanTech.

Why Is This Toy Dangerous?

The silicone pull strings on the recalled teething toy are both smaller in diameter and longer than what the mandatory toy safety standard permits. This combination allows the strings to reach the back of a young child’s throat during normal play or teething, where they can become lodged and obstruct the airway.

A string lodged at the back of a child’s throat can cause acute respiratory distress and presents a serious and potentially deadly choking hazard. Because teething toys are specifically designed to be placed in an infant’s mouth, this defect places children directly at risk during the toy’s intended use.

Incidents and Injuries

ChilanTech has received ten reports of the toy’s strings reaching the back of a child’s throat. Each of these incidents resulted in respiratory distress or choking, underscoring the seriousness of the design defect.

What Should Parents Do?

Parents and caregivers who own the recalled LiKee Pull-String Teething Toy should stop using it immediately and keep it away from children. To receive a free replacement toy of at least equal value, including shipping, consumers should contact ChilanTech by email at likee-teether-recall@outlook.com.

As part of the remedy process, consumers will be asked to destroy the toy by cutting the silicone tentacles and writing “Recalled” in permanent marker on the toy’s main body. Consumers should then photograph the destroyed toy, send the photo to ChilanTech, and dispose of the product.

Can I File a Lawsuit?

Parents whose children experienced choking, respiratory distress, or other injury from the recalled LiKee Pull-String Teething Toy may have significant legal options. A class action lawsuit could allow affected families to seek compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and other related losses.
