What Is the Hazard?
The recalled hand soaps may be contaminated with Pseudomonas and/or Serratia bacteria — a particularly concerning finding for a product intended to clean the hands. Two other products in the same six-product Intercon recall carry specific contamination findings for up to five bacterial strains including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas putida, Pseudomonas monteilii, Serratia marcescens, and Serratia nematodiphila [2].

Consumers who have used the recalled soap and developed any signs of skin infection, wound infection, or other adverse reaction should contact their healthcare provider immediately.

Consumers who have the recalled Laura Lynn Foaming Pear Scent Hand Soap With Moisturizers or the Laura Lynn Honey Apple Crisp Liquid Hand Soap should stop using both products immediately and return them to any Ingles Markets store for a full refund.
