What’s the Problem?
According to a CPSC Recall Notice dated 3/19/20, this action affects:
- 2015-2020 Kawasaki MULE PRO-FX
- 2015-2020 Kawasaki MULE PRO-FXR
- 2015-2020 Kawasaki MULE PRO-FXT
- 2016-2020 Kawasaki MULE PRO-DX
- 2016-2020 Kawasaki MULE PRO-DXT
Steering shafts on the recalled Kawasaki MULE PRO UTVs can develop excessive wear and affect steering control, which poses a crash and personal injury hazard, CPSC said.
Affected vehicles were sold at U.S. Kawasaki dealers between July 2014 and January 2020 for $12,000 to $17,000.
CPSC is advising consumers who purchased a UTV affected by this recall to contact their Kawasaki dealer for a free repair.
