According to the NHTSA Recall Notice, this action affects:
- 2019 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell
- 2019 Honda Clarity Electric
- 2019 Honda Clarity Plug-in
These electric cars are equipped with rear seatbelt assemblies which may not lock as intended and could fail to properly restrain the occupant during a crash, NHTSA said.
Consumers who purchased a recalled vehicle should stop using it immediately and contact their Honda dealer to schedule a free repair.
Honda’s Recall Number for this vehicle is Z7L.
