What's the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Sept. 24, 2020, and affects Gulf Stream Enlighten 25BH and 248BH travel trailers from model year 2020.
"The lower front trim strip may be missing from the refrigerator," NHTSA said. "The front strip is required to make the refrigerator cabinet seal complete, and provides complete isolation of the combustion system from the travel trailer interior. Without the front trim strip, carbon monoxide or flammable unburned Liquid Petroleum (LP) gases may migrate into the living quarters of the travel trailer, increasing the risk of fire or carbon monoxide poisoning causing occupant injury."
If you purchased a travel trailer that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact Gulf Stream for a free repair.
Gulf Stream's number for this recall is 08282020.
