What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Feb. 1, 2021, and affects:
- 2021 GMC Yukon XL
- 2019-2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
- 2019-2021 GMC Sierra 1500
- 2021 Chevrolet Suburban
- 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe
- 2020-2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
- 2020-2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
- 2020-2021 GMC Sierra 2500
- 2020-2021 GMC Sierra 3500
These vehicles were sold with seat belt brackets that may not have been secured to the seat frame in the front-row center seating position, which could cause the belts to fail to restrain an occupant in the front-row center seat position, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
