These tires were cured for too long during the manufacturing process, which could cause them to develop a break in the sidewall resulting in sudden air loss or a belt edge separation, leading to a tread/belt loss. “Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash,” NHTSA said.
If you purchased any tires that are affected by this recall, you should stop using them immediately and contact your Continental Tire dealer for a free set of replacement tires.
