What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA recall affects:

- 2011-2014 Ford Fiesta
- 2013-2014 Ford Fusion
- 2015 Ford Mustang
- 2013-2015 Ford Escape
- 2013-2015 Ford C-Max
- 2014-2016 Ford Transit Connect
- 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ
- 2015 Lincoln MKC
A door latch component in the recalled Ford vehicles may break, making the doors hard to lock and/or leading the occupants to believe a door is properly locked when it is not. A door that is not securely locked could open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of injury to those inside, according to the NHTSA.
