What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on September 14, 2020, and affects Ford Edge vehicles from model years 2015-2018.
“The front brake hoses may rupture prematurely,” NHTSA said. “A ruptured front brake hose will cause a brake fluid leak, lengthening the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.”
If you purchased a vehicle that is affected by this recall, you should contact your local Ford dealer for a free brake hose replacement.
Ford’s number for this recall is 20S42.
