2020 Buick Enclave Recalled Over Stall Hazard
The NHTSA on Nov. 16, 2020, announced that GM is recalling Buick Enclave SUVs from model year 2020 which were manufactured with a potentially defective fuel pump which could fail during use, resulting in an engine stall and increasing the risk of a crash and severe injuries. GM is notifying owners and dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. GM’s number for this recall is N202314760.
What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA recall began on September 14, 2020, and affects Buick Enclave SUVs from model year 2020.
“The diffuser component of the Roof-Rail Air Bag (RRAB) inflator may not have been properly crimped to the inflator and could separate from the inflator during air bag deployment,” NHTSA said. “If the diffuser separates from the inflator during deployment, RRAB performance may be degraded, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.”
Consumers who purchased a Buick Enclave that is affected by this recall should stop using it immediately and contact their GM dealer to schedule a free repair of the airbag modules.
GM’s number for this recall is N202305380.
