What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Dec. 7, 2021, and affects Arcimoto FUV motorcycles from model years 2019-2020.
“The electronic drivers in some of the high voltage (HV) contactors may malfunction, causing these contactors to have a higher contact resistance than intended, potentially causing them to overheat,” NHTSA said. “If HV contactors overheat, the battery may unexpectedly shutdown and cause an immediate loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.”
If you purchased an FUV motorcycle that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact your Arcimoto dealer for free replacement contactors.
Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.
