What’s the Problem?
This FDA Recall began on March 8, 2021, and affects 2 lb. plastic jars of “Alqosh Sesame Oil,” lot # 16082020 and production date 08/16/2020, which was distributed in Michigan retail stores and distributors from 11/06/2020 to 12/10/2020.
This recall was initiated after testing found the presence of salmonella in select 2 Lb plastic jars of Mediterranean Food Inc.’s Alqosh Sesame Oil.
Production of the recalled Alqosh sesame oil has been suspended while FDA continues its investigation into the source of the problem.
Consumers who purchased any recalled sesame oil should either discard it or return it for a refund.
