The FDA published the recall announcement on August 13, 2026 [1]. The recall was initiated after routine testing conducted by the company produced a presumptive positive result for Listeria monocytogenes, and the investigation is continuing in coordination with the FDA.

Infection with Listeria can also cause miscarriage and stillbirth in pregnant women. Healthy individuals may experience fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, while more serious symptoms can include confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions.
What Caused the Recall?
The recall was initiated after Kettle Cuisine LLC’s own routine product testing produced a presumptive positive result for Listeria monocytogenes. The company is continuing its investigation in coordination with the FDA.

No confirmed illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled product as of the August 12, 2026 recall date.
