What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began in September 2020, and affects Walmart Hyper Tough 2 Ton Jack Stands, model 2TJS, sold under part number 0085001232400.
Affected jack stands may not be able to support the rated load without collapsing unexpectedly, increasing the risk of severe injury or death to persons nearby or under the lifted vehicle, according to the NHTSA.
Consumers who purchased a recalled jack stand should stop using it immediately and return it to Walmart for a refund or a replacement stand.
