What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Dec. 4, 2020, and affects VW Tiguan LWB vehicles from model year 2018.
These Tiguans were manufactured with front seat belt webbing which could tear during a crash and not adequately restrain the occupant, increasing their risk of injury or death.
Consumers who purchased a Tiguan vehicle that is affected by this recall should stop using it immediately and contact their Volkswagen dealer for a free inspection of the seatbelts and, if necessary, a repair.
Volkswagen’s number for this recall is 69BH.
