The recall covers Tylö Halmstad 2, 3, and 4 saunas and Tylö Kiruna Hybrid 2 and 3 saunas sold by Sauna360, Inc. of Cokato, Minnesota, manufactured in China. Approximately 1,000 units were sold through various distributors nationwide from July 2024 through December 2024, priced between $6,000 and $12,000.
The recalled units are identified by specific serial number ranges, including CSFxxABTRxx-V1-4933 through CSFxxABTRxx-V1-6970 among others. Consumers can confirm whether their sauna is affected by contacting Sauna360 directly or visiting the recall website.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the Tylö sauna recall on October 23, 2025, citing a fall hazard from benches that can collapse under consumer weight [1]. Seven bench failures have been reported, including one incident in which a consumer sustained head and neck injuries [1].
The Hazard Explained
According to the CPSC, the benches in the recalled saunas can collapse, creating a fall risk. A sauna bench failure is particularly dangerous because the confined, high-temperature environment of a sauna can impair a user’s coordination and reaction time, reducing their ability to catch themselves during a fall.
The premium price point — $6,000 to $12,000 — also raises the standard of care expected from the manufacturer. Consumers purchasing a high-end home sauna at that price point have a reasonable expectation that the seating is structurally sound enough to support normal use without collapse.
Incidents and Injuries
Sauna360 and the CPSC have received seven reports of bench failures. At least one consumer suffered head and neck injuries as a result.
Falls in confined, hard-floored spaces like saunas can produce serious outcomes including concussions, cervical spine injuries, lacerations, and fractures. Head and neck injuries in particular can have lasting neurological and mobility consequences that extend well beyond the initial incident.
What the Recall Requires
The remedy for affected consumers is a free professional installation of additional hardware to retrofit and reinforce the bench. Sauna360 is also providing a revised owner’s manual that includes bench weight limits not previously communicated to consumers.
The fact that weight limits were absent from the original manual is significant — consumers had no way to know whether their use of the bench exceeded safe parameters before the failure occurred. That gap in consumer information may be relevant to negligence and failure-to-warn claims.
