What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began in December 2020 and affects Toyota Highlander and Highlander hybrid vehicles from model year 2020.
“Incorrect seat trim covers on one or both of the front seats can prevent the seat-mounted side air bag from deploying properly,” NHTSA said. “Improper deployment of the seat-mounted side air bag increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash.”
If you purchased a Highlander SUV that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact your Toyota dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair.
Toyota’s number for this recall is 20TB14 / 20TA14.
