What’s the Problem?
This CPSC Recall affects metal CFMK H-Brackets made in China and distributed by Lithonia Lighting, a division of Acuity Brands Lighting Inc., of Conyers, Georgia.
The brackets are screwed into the ceiling and used to surface mount CPANL LED fixtures. CFMK Brackets were included as an optional mounting accessory with 1×4, 2×4 and 2×2 CPANLs sold by retailers, and also sold as a separate accessory for CPANL LEDs sold by commercial distributors.
Affected mounting brackets were sold online and at Lowe’s and other home improvement stores nationwide from August 2018 through June 2020 for between $85 and $100.
Consumers who purchased any recalled surface mount brackets should stop using them immediately and contact Lithonia Lighting for a free bracket repair kit. Until fixtures are repaired, consumers should prevent people from going into the immediate area under the fixtures.
The CPSC Recall Number for this item is 20-167.
