What’s the Problem?
This CPSC Recall was issued on August 18, 2020, and affects:
- Nerf Super Soaker XP20 (E6286)
- Nerf Super Soaker XP 30 (E6289)
These water guns feature a decorative sticker on the water tank which contains levels of lead that exceeds the federal lead content ban. “Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects,” CPSC said.
“Nerf Super Soaker” and the model number are printed on the sticker on the side of the recalled Super Soakers.
The recalled water guns were sold at Target stores nationwide from March 2020 to July 2020 for about $8 (XP 20) and $13 (XP 30).
Consumers who purchased a recalled Super Soaker should take it away from children and contact Hasbro for a refund.
The CPSC Recall Number for these items is 20-168.
