What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began in Jan. 2021, and affects:
- Summit Racing 3-Ton Jack Stands, part number SUM-918005
- Summit Racing 6-Ton Jack Stands, part number SUM-918006
These stands are equipped with a ratchet bar that may fail during use, allowing the vehicle to fall without warning, increasing the risk of injury to people near or under a lifted vehicle.
If you purchased a jack stand that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact Autosales Inc. for information about how to obtain a full refund.
