Smilin’ Bobs initiated this recall after Banner Smoked Fish, Inc. recalled its smoked fish due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Smilin’ Bob’s used the recalled smoked fish from Banner Smoked Fish, Inc in the above products.
“Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women,” FDA said.
Affected containers have the “Best If Use By” dates printed on the side of each container and the lot number stated for each product on the side or the lid.
The recalled Smilin’ Bobs Smoked Fish Dip was distributed to retailers in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia.
Consumers who purchased any recalled Smilin’ Bobs Smoked Fish Dip should either discard it or return it for a refund.
