What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Nov. 20, 2020, and affects Range Rover Sport vehicles from model years 2010-2011.
The upper cover on the rear spoiler of the recalled Range Rovers may detach from the vehicle, NHTSA said. If the spoiler detaches while driving, it can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash and severe injuries.
If you purchased a Range Rover Sport that is affected by this recall, you should stop driving it immediately and contact your Land Rover dealer to schedule a free inspection. If the spoiler has not delaminated, a new adhesive will be applied to secure the upper spoiler cover. If the outer surface of the rear spoiler has detached, a new spoiler will be installed.
Land Rover’s number for this recall is N499.
