What’s the Problem?
This recall affects 2020 Range Rover Evoque SUVs equipped with a replacement part for the second-row seat belt assembly, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The seat belt assemblies on these vehicles may not function properly in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of severe injuries or death to occupants.
This problem causes the affected Range Rover Evoque SUVs to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards numbers 208, “Occupant Crash Protection” and 209, “Seat Belt Assemblies.”
Jaguar is notifying owners and dealers will replace the second-row seat belt assemblies, free of charge.
This recall began on February 12, 2021.
