What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA recall affects:
- 2020 RAM 1500 pickup trucks
- 2020 RAM Promaster vans
These RAM vehicles may have been sold with a defectively manufactured diffuser in the side curtain airbag which could cause it to detach from the inflator during airbag deployment.
If this occurs during a crash, the airbag may not inflate properly, increasing the risk of injury.
If you purchased a vehicle that is affected by this recall, you should contact your local RAM dealer to schedule a free repair.
