What’s the Problem?
This CPSC Recall began on Feb. 17, 2021, and affects all units of the Presto Indoor Electric Smoker Model No. 0601304 or 0601405.
“The firm has received reports of five smokers tripping circuit breakers and outlets,” CPSC said. “No injuries have been reported.”
The model number of affected smokers is located on the underside of the device and “Presto” appears on the top of the digital display. UPC codes 075741060132 and 075741060149 can be found on the packaging.
The recalled Presto smokers were sold online and at Shopko, Sears, Kmart, Belk, Veterans Canteen Store and other home appliance stores nationwide from June 2018 through December 2020 for between $70 and $110.
Consumers who purchased a recalled indoor smoker should stop using it immediately and return it to the point of purchase for a refund.
