What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA recall began on September 10, 2020, and affects Piaggio MP3 500 motorcycles from model years 2019-2020.
The brake lines on affected motorcycles may have been improperly galvanized, allowing hydrogen to be released into the brake fluid, NHTSA said.
If you purchased a motorcycle that is affected by this recall, you should contact your Piaggio dealer for a free brake system flush.
Piaggio’s number for this recall is PP2ZZQ1904_MP3.
