What’s the Problem?
This FDA Recall was issued on August 26, 2020, and affects the following products distributed by Russ Davis Wholesale (RDW):
- 8 oz. Crazy Fresh Perfectly Peach Salsa – UPC 795631 820270 – Sell By Dates 6/25/2020 to 8/26/2020
- 8 oz. Quick & Easy Perfectly Peach Salsa – UPC 795631 820270 – Sell By Dates 7/29/2020 to 8/26/2020
- 8 oz. Clear Label Perfectly Peach Salsa – UPC 795631 820270 – Sell By Dates 7/30/2020 to 8/23/2020
These products were recalled in response to an earlier recall of peaches by Wawona Packaging, which is an ingredient provider to Russ Davis Wholesale.
The recalled peach salsa was distributed to retail stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Some containers of peach salsa may also have been purchased from the deli counter at grocery stores located in Ortonville, Minnesota, Cross Lake, Minnesota and Tipton, Iowa.
Five Bountiful Fresh gift baskets, also containing the recalled peaches, were sold through one location in Hastings, Minnesota.
Consumers who purchased any recalled peach salsa should either discard it or return it for a full refund.
If you ate peach salsa and are now suffering from any symptoms of a salmonella infection — diarrhea, fever, or stomach cramps – you should dial 9-1-1 immediately.
