Three specific models of NorthStar pressure washers are included in this recall. Each model can be identified by its item number printed on a label located on the engine.
- NorthStar Gas Wet Steam and Hot Water Pressure Washer – Item #157310. Serial number label on engine, burner date code label under battery box.
- NorthStar Gas Hot Water Commercial Pressure Washer Skid – Item #157594. Serial number label on engine, burner date code label under ball valve assembly.
- NorthStar Trailer-Mounted Hot Water Commercial Pressure Washer – Item #157595. Serial number label on engine, burner date code label under NorthStar logo.
Only pressure washers with specific date codes are affected by this recall. The product serial number must contain a MONTHYEAR code between 0125 (January 2025) and 0825 (August 2025), and the burner date code must be between 0125 and 2625 (weeks 01 to 26 of 2025).
Fire Hazard Description
The fan wheel on the recalled pressure washers can fail during operation. This failure causes abnormal burner operation that produces smoke and bursts of flames while the unit is being used.
The defect creates a serious fire hazard that can result in property damage and burn injuries. No incidents or injuries have been reported to date, but the potential for harm prompted the immediate recall action.
