On August 27, 2026, Shenzhenshixingchuangyiyimaoyouxiangongsi dba Chillife Official of China announced a voluntary recall of the Chillife 5-in-1 Montessori Baby Toy Set in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1]. The recalled toy sets were manufactured and imported by Chillife Official of China.

What Product Is Affected?

The recall covers the Chillife 5-in-1 Montessori Baby Toy Set, Model CHILLIFE01, printed on the side of the product packaging. Each set includes five components: a pull string teether toy, circular stacking blocks, a sensory toy, a shape sorting cube with blocks, and a suction cup spinner.

Only the pull string teething toy within the set is subject to the recall. The violative pull string teething toy has an off-white disc shape with a blue ball in the middle, six long silicone pull strings of various colors running through the ball, three free-spinning rings, and soft push buttons on the disc. The recalled sets were sold exclusively on Amazon.com from July 2023 through April 2026 for approximately $27.

What Is the Hazard?

The pull string teething toy included in the recalled set violates the mandatory federal toy safety standard because its silicone strings are smaller in diameter and longer than the standard permits. Because the toy is specifically designed to be placed in an infant’s mouth during teething, strings of this length and diameter can reach the back of the child’s throat and become lodged, posing a risk of respiratory distress and a potentially deadly choking hazard.

Incidents and Injuries

The CPSC is aware of four choking incidents involving the recalled pull string teething toy. No medical attention was required in connection with any of the four reported incidents.

What Should Parents Do?

Parents and caregivers should stop using the pull string teether toy immediately and take it away from children. To receive a partial refund of $5.40, consumers must destroy the toy by cutting all silicone strings and writing “DESTROYED” in permanent marker on the main body of the toy, then send a photograph of the destroyed toy to Chillifebabytoyrecall@outlook.com before disposing of the product.

Consumers may contact Chillife Official directly by email at Chillifebabytoyrecall@outlook.com for refund instructions and assistance.

Can I File a Lawsuit?

Parents whose infants experienced choking or respiratory distress from the recalled Chillife pull string teething toy may have significant legal options against Chillife Official and Amazon. Contact an attorney promptly to have your case evaluated.
