What’s the Problem?
The recalled LUS Hair Dryers do not have an immersion protection device, which poses an electrocution and shock hazard if the dryer falls into water when plugged in, according to a CPSC Recall Notice dated 4/23/20.
Affected hair dryers are colored white with the logos “LUS Brands” and “Love Ur Curls” printed on either side of the back end of the device, CPSC said. The dryers were sold online from Nov. 2019 to Feb. 2020 for between $125 and $144.
Consumers who purchased a hair dryer that is affected by this recall should stop using it immediately and contact LUS Distribution Inc. for information on how to obtain a refund or store credit.
