Latest Updates

On June 25, 2026, Southern Telecom Inc. of New York expanded its recall of Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kits in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1]. This expanded recall adds a second model and additional incident reports to a prior recall first issued on June 13, 2024. Approximately 14,700 units are affected in total.

What Products Are Affected?

The recall covers the Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit with Wax Cartridge & Wax Strips, sold in white and pink with the Lomi logo printed on the front of the warmer and on the product packaging:

  • Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit, Model LOMB2003PK
  • Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit, Model LOMB2004PK

Each boxed kit includes a handheld wax warmer, a wax cartridge, wax strips, a power cord, and a user’s manual. The model number is printed on a label on the bottom of the wax warmer.

The recalled kits were sold at Ross, DD’s, Variety Wholesalers, and Burlington stores nationwide from February 2025 through December 2025 for approximately $13. The kits were manufactured in China and imported by Southern Telecom Inc.

What Is the Hazard?

The power cord on the wax warmer can overheat and short circuit during use, posing a serious risk of injury or death from fire, burn, and electrical shock hazards. Because the device is designed to be held directly against the skin during use, an overheating or short-circuiting cord creates an immediate risk of burns and electrical shock to the user.

Incidents and Injuries

Southern Telecom has received two additional reports of the warmer’s power cord overheating since the original 2024 recall. No injuries have been reported in connection with these incidents to date.

What Should Consumers Do?

Consumers who own a recalled Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit should stop using it immediately and contact Southern Telecom for a full refund. As part of the refund process, consumers will be asked to destroy the kit by unplugging the warmer’s electrical cord, cutting it in half, and uploading a photo of the destroyed product showing the cut cord.

Consumers may submit their photo at support.customersupport123.com/hc/en-us/requests/new, or contact Southern Telecom toll-free at 888-959-0944, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET, by email at support@customersupport123.com, or online at southerntelecom.com/recall-2026-05-14.

Can I File a Lawsuit?

Consumers who purchased a recalled Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit — particularly those who experienced a fire, burn, or electrical shock when the power cord overheated — may have legal options. A class action lawsuit could allow affected consumers to seek compensation for medical expenses, property damage, pain and suffering, lost wages, and other related losses.
