The recall covers:

  • Locatelli Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese: Packaged in plastic tubs; UPC codes 2-77580-XXXXX-7 (where “XXXXX” varies by weight).

Distributed at Wegmans stores in CT, DE, MD, MA, NC, NJ, NY, PA, VA, and Washington, D.C., from November 14 through November 24, 2025. The recall was initiated after Wegmans was notified by its supplier of potential Listeria contamination. All lot codes have been recalled and removed from shelves. The FDA posted this as a public service announcement in November 2025 [1].

Consumers who purchased the product should return it to any Wegmans store for a full refund.
