What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Dec. 17, 2020, and affects Land Rover Discovery vehicles from model years 2019-2020.
“A loose contact between the battery ground stud and the chassis may result in various electrical faults, possibly causing a loss of electrical power or the vehicle to shut down while driving,” NHTSA said. “If the vehicle shuts down or loses exterior lighting while driving there could be an increased risk of a crash.”
If you purchased a vehicle that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact your Land Rover dealer to schedule a free ground stud replacement.
Land Rover’s number for this recall is N400.
