What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on September 2, 2020, and affects Kia Forte vehicles from model year 2019.
“The left front axle driveshaft may not have been heat-treated, which can cause it to break,” NHTSA said. “A broken driveshaft can result in a sudden loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.”
If you purchased a Forte vehicle that is affected by this recall, you should stop driving it immediately and contact your Kia dealer for a free inspection and repair.
Kia’s number for this recall is SC195.
