What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Feb. 8, 2021, and affects the following Keystone trailers built on D80 Dexter Axles:
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 3401RL
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 3901MB
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 3901WB
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 3911RL
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 3951MB
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 3951WB
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 3981FK
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 3991RD
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 4001LK
- 2021 Keystone Crossroads Redwood 4150RD
These RVs were manufactured with axle U-bolts that may have been improperly torqued, potentially causing them to loosen and the axle to slide. “If the axle moves, poor vehicle handling may result, increasing the risk of a crash,” NHTSA said.
If you purchased an RV that is affected by this recall, you should stop driving it and contact your local Keystone dealer to schedule a free repair.
