What’s the Problem?
This recall affects Hyundai Genesis G70 vehicles from model year 2020, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
A component in the Rack Mounted Motor Driven Power Steering (R-MDPS) Assembly of affected vehicles may have been manufactured incorrectly, potentially resulting in the steering locking or becoming difficult while driving, NHTSA said. A loss of steering control can increase the risk of a crash.
Hyundai is notifying owners and dealers will inspect and repair the R-MDPS assembly, free of charge.
This recall began in August 2020.
