What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Feb. 15, 2021, and affects:
- 2018-2019 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports (CRF1000L)
- 2020 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports (CRF1100L)
These motorcycles were sold with contaminants inside the fuel tank that may cause the fuel filter to clog, potentially causing an engine stall. “An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash or injury,” NHTSA said.
If you purchased a motorcycle that is affected by this recall, you should stop riding it and contact your local Honda dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair.
Honda’s number for this recall is KL4.
