No other Henkel products are subject to this recall, and cans with batch codes not listed above are safe to use. The recalled product was distributed through 21 distributors in Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington, and was also sold to hair professionals and consumers at the retail level.
What Is the Hazard?
A packaging defect in the recalled cans allows product to leak from the pressurized aluminum container under pressure, creating a risk of explosion. A pressurized aerosol can that leaks or ruptures can cause sudden, forceful discharge that may injure anyone handling the product.
Incidents and Injuries
Henkel received one customer complaint of bruising on the hand and two salon reports related to the defective packaging. No other injuries were identified as of the August 11, 2026 recall date.
